Arrest of three individuals accused of selling alcoholic beverages in Andkhoy District of Faryab Province

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in Faryab Province, as part of their continued efforts to implement the rulings of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia, prevent immoral acts, and reform society, arrested three individuals on charges of selling alcoholic beverages.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in Faryab stated that the operation was carried out following the receipt of information and public complaints, and in coordination with the Intelligence Directorate and the Criminal Investigation Department of Andkhoy district.
As a result, three suspects were arrested, and a quantity of alcoholic beverages was confiscated from their possession.
The Ministry’s officials (Muhtasibs) in the province emphasized that the production, transportation, storage, purchase, and sale of alcoholic beverages are considered prohibited acts under Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia, and that serious measures will be taken against those who engage in such activities.
They also called upon the residents of the province to cooperate with the (Muhtasibs) promoting virtue and preventing vice, and to report any suspicious cases to the relevant authorities.
