Inspectors in Zabul Province held reformative and awareness-raising meetings with worshippers at 221 mosques
During the past week, officials (Muhtasibs) from the Directorate of Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints in Zabul Province held religious, reformative, and awareness-raising meetings with religious scholars, tribal elders, and worshippers at 221 mosques in the provincial capital and districts.
During these meetings, the officials (Muhtasibs) spoke about the importance of following Islamic teachings, religious and social responsibilities, promoting good deeds, and preventing wrongdoing.
They encouraged worshippers to observe Islamic values and strengthen their good practices.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Directorate of Promotion of Virtue in Zabul Province said that particular attention was also paid to the proper performance of acts of worship during these programs.
The pronunciation and recitation of some worshippers during prayers were reviewed and corrected, and they were urged to properly learn and pronounce the words of the prayer.
The worshippers were also encouraged to learn the correct recitation of the Holy Quran according to the rules of Tajweed, so that they could improve their recitation and pay greater attention to the proper performance of worship and the recitation of the Word of Allah.
Officials of the Directorate of Promotion of Virtue in Zabul Province described holding religious meetings in mosques as an effective means of increasing people's religious awareness, improving religious practices, promoting good deeds, and preventing wrongdoing.
According to officials (Muhtasibs) of the directorate, reformative and awareness-raising meetings in mosques, in addition to addressing religious and reform-related matters, provide an opportunity to hear the problems, questions, and complaints of worshippers.
The officials said that they are working, within the framework of their responsibilities, to address the religious and social problems and needs of the people.
