Nearly 40 women were freed from domestic violence and family oppression in seven provinces.

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry of Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, through handling complaints and reformative efforts, rescued 37 women from domestic oppression and violence in the provinces of Zabul, Balkh, Takhar, Maidan Wardak, Paktika, Kapisa, and Paktia.

These efforts were carried out in accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia after the affected women approached the provincial offices of the Ministry and registered their complaints.

After hearing the statements of both parties, the officials (Muhtasibs) provided guidance, advice, and awareness regarding the rights granted to women under Sharia.

As a result, further oppression and violence against the women was prevented, and a number of family disputes were resolved through mediation, reconciliation, and mutual understanding.

Provincial officials of the Ministry of Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints stated that addressing public complaints, preventing oppression, promoting virtue, preventing vice, ensuring the legitimate rights of citizens, and promoting reconciliation among people are among their religious and legal responsibilities.

They emphasized that these efforts will continue in pursuit of justice, strengthening the family institution, and safeguarding Islamic values.
