Officials of the Ministry arrested two individuals accused of practicing sorcery in the provinces of Takhar and Parwan

The inspectors (Muhtasibs) in Parwan and Takhar provinces have arrested two individuals accused of practicing sorcery.
According to the authorities, the suspects allegedly used "blowing prayers" and amulets as a pretext to create discord and problems among families and carried out acts of sorcery in exchange for money.
They were arrested along with numerous books related to magic and non-Islamic amulets.
Provincial officials stated that the two suspects were detained together with their alleged sorcery-related materials. They reportedly collected money from local residents under the pretext of resolving family disputes and engaged in unlawful practices.
The officials added that the suspects will be referred to the judicial and legal authorities for further investigation.
The inspectors emphasized that they will not allow anyone to engage in superstitious or non-Islamic practices in society. They also called on the public to cooperate with the inspectors in eliminating such activities.
This comes after the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints of IEA, banned the practice of sorcery.
According to the statement, since the ban was imposed, thousands of individuals accused of practicing sorcery have been arrested and referred to the judicial and legal authorities for decisions in accordance with Islamic law.
