Officials of the Ministry Hold Meetings on Hijab in Eight Provinces
Officials Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, in the provinces of Kabul, Parwan, Ghazni, Bamyan, Herat, Nangarhar, Sar-e Pul, and Panjshir, have continued their activities in accordance with the ministry’s law.
They held various reform-oriented meetings with local residents to discuss the importance of hijab, the observance of hijab, the implementation of the ministry’s instructions in this regard, and cooperation with local communities.
Officials said Hijab is a divine command. By observing it, on the one hand, a divine command is fulfilled, and on the other hand, it helps prevent existing social evils. Establishing a healthy society and eliminating existing vices are our shared religious responsibility, which we must fulfill.
Meanwhile, officials (Muhtasibs) across the country have also been holding meetings with local residents to encourage performing prayers in congregation, respecting parents’ rights, promoting Islamic brotherhood, establishing virtues, and preventing vices.
According to the statement, these efforts have helped prevent many harmful practices in society, while local residents consider the enforcers’ activities to be one of the most effective ways of bringing about social reform.
