Officials in Seven Provinces Encouraged and Raised Public Awareness on Observing the Islamic Hijab and Refraining from Listening to Music
Officals (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Kapisa, Nuristan, Sar-e-Pul, Takhar, Uruzgan, Ghazni, and Kunar, as part of their monitoring and reform activities, provided residents of these provinces with awareness and necessary guidance regarding observing Islamic hijab, preserving religious values, and refraining from listening to music.
During these programs, the officials met with various segments of the public in public places, hotels, and some educational institutions, emphasizing compliance with Sharia-compliant hijab, maintaining chastity and modesty, and observing Islamic principles.
They also provided reform-oriented guidance, encouraging people to observe the rulings of Islamic Sharia, respect religious values, and help create a healthy and appropriate environment in society.
They urged the public to pay serious attention to Islamic principles and values in their daily lives.
During these activities, the Ministry’s officials, citing verses from the Holy Quran and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, emphasized observance of Sharia-compliant hijab and described it as one of the important commands and obligations of Islam.
Highlighting the virtues and importance of hijab in preserving chastity, dignity, and moral integrity in society, they stated that observing Islamic hijab and adhering to Sharia rulings contribute to the reform of individuals and society and play a fundamental role in preventing the spread of immorality, prohibited practices, and moral corruption.
Meanwhile, residents of the seven provinces welcomed the Ministry’s reform and awareness-raising programs, considering the organization of such initiatives effective in promoting virtue and preventing vice in society.
They stated that promoting Islamic values and raising awareness about religious rulings and teachings play an important role in reforming individuals and society and preventing prohibited practices and moral corruption.
