One professional sorcerer was arrested by personnel of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Parwan Province
Personnel of the Directorate for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA in Parwan Province, in line with preserving the religious and moral well-being of society and preventing acts contrary to Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia, arrested a professional sorcerer.
Personnel of this directorate stated that the arrested individual had secretly been engaged in sorcery activities in the center of the province for several years.
By exploiting people’s problems and beliefs, he allegedly received large sums of money from visitors under the guise of reciting prayers and providing spiritual remedies for illnesses and economic difficulties. Following public complaints and necessary investigations, the individual was arrested along with books and documents related to acts of sorcery.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Directorate for the Promotion of Virtue in Parwan Province emphasized that safeguarding the religious and spiritual well-being of society is among their key priorities, and that individuals who seek to exploit people through practices contrary to Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia will face firm and legal action.
