Rescue of 18 women from domestic violence in the provinces of Ghazni, Paktia, Badghis Laghman, and Balkh
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Ghazni, Paktia, Badghis, Laghman, and Balkh, within the framework of their assigned responsibilities and in line with ensuring justice, implementing the rulings of Islamic Sh/ar/ia, and safeguarding the religious rights of women, have addressed 18 cases related to women who had been subjected to domestic violence over the past years.
These cases were evaluated after receiving public reports, conducting comprehensive investigations, and in close coordination with religious scholars and local elders.
As a result of these efforts, the women concerned were freed from violent situations, and their religious rights were restored. Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints in the aforementioned provinces emphasized their commitment to ensuring the religious rights of women and stated that preventing all forms of abuse and violence within the family is among their top priorities. They further stressed that, based on the rulings of Islamic Sh/ar/ia, no individual or group will be allowed to commit abuse or violence against women.
