A woman in Maidan Wardak Province secured her legitimate Islamic right to residence

Following the efforts of the officials (Muhtasibs)of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints of IEA, in Jaghatu District of Maidan Wardak Province, a woman’s Islamic legal right to residence, from which she had been deprived for six years, was restored.

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in Maidan Wardak stated that the woman had been denied her Islamic legal right to residence by her husband and his family for six years.

After she filed a complaint and the officials (Muhtasibs) conducted a comprehensive investigation into the case, her husband was summoned to the Ministry’s local office.

In the presence of both parties, the Muhtasibs provided guidance on the teachings and directives of Islam, the mutual rights and responsibilities of husband and wife, the importance of preserving the family, and the principles of justice and good conduct among family members.

As a result, the husband agreed to fulfill his religious and family obligations and pledged to provide his wife with her rightful place of residence and to respect all of her Islamic legal rights from now on.

The officials (Muhtasibs) in Jaghatu District emphasized that addressing social issues, improving family relationships, hearing public complaints, and working to resolve disputes through dialogue, advice, and Islamic guidance are among their key responsibilities.

They also called on families to uphold their mutual rights and responsibilities and, in accordance with the teachings of Islam, to foster a peaceful, healthy, and respectful family environment for one another.
