Women's Islamic rights in light of Islamic teachings were the focus of the Muhtasibs' discussions with the public
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in the center and a number of provinces, emphasized the importance of understanding, observing, and ensuring women's Sharia-based rights in light of Islamic teachings during a series of reformative and awareness-raising sessions with the public.
During these sessions, the inspectors provided information on the status and rights of women within the family and society from the perspective of Islamic law, and stressed the importance of increasing the public's religious awareness in this regard.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry stated that the objective of launching these awareness programs is to strengthen public understanding of Islamic rulings, promote a reform-oriented culture, and facilitate communication and dialogue between the public and the Ministry's officials.
Meanwhile, participants in the sessions expressed their views and raised questions concerning women's Sharia-based rights.
They welcomed the continuation of such awareness programs and emphasized their importance in enhancing the religious and social awareness of the public.
