Rescue of 13 women from domestic violence in the provinces of Zabul, Takhar, Faryab, and Maidan Wardak
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Zabul, Takhar, Faryab, and Maidan Wardak have comprehensively addressed 13 cases related to women who had suffered from domestic violence for many years.
This was carried out with the aim of ensuring justice, implementing Islamic rulings, and safeguarding the legitimate rights of women.
These cases were handled following public reports, thorough investigations, and close cooperation with religious scholars and local community elders.
As a result, all the women involved were freed from abusive situations, and their legal and human rights were secured. Furthermore, the ministry’s officials (Muuhtasibs) held reformative and advisory meetings with the families involved in these cases in the mentioned provinces, emphasizing the importance of respecting the legal and human rights of women.
Officials of the ministry stated that the holy religion of Islam is a religion of mercy, justice, and fairness, and it rejects all forms of oppression and injustice, especially within the family.
