Ten legal cases concerning women’s rights, including dowry, alimony, and divorce, were addressed in the provinces of Takhar, Helmand, Maidan Wardak, and Khost       

Officials from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of  EIA, have comprehensively addressed ten women’s legal cases in the provinces of Takhar, Helmand, Maidan Wardak, and Khost.

These cases involved issues of dowry (Mahr), alimony (Nafaqah), and divorce, with the aim of ensuring women’s Sh.ar.ia-based rights and responding to public complaints.

Authorities from the Ministry in the aforementioned provinces stated that, following the receipt of complaints from affected women, the cases were carefully examined in accordance with Islamic Sh.ar.ia and with full adherence to established principles and procedures.

 As a result, the legitimate rights of the female complainants—particularly in matters of dowry and alimony—were secured and affirmed.

It is worth noting that the process of addressing such cases by the Ministry’s personnel is ongoing as part of continued efforts.

 Over the past month alone, nearly 200 women in various provinces have obtained their Sh.ar.ia rights, particularly in areas related to inheritance and dowry.
