One individual was arrested on charges of producing and possessing alcoholic beverages in Qaisar District of Faryab Province

Department for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints in Faryab Province has reported that, during their routine operations, its inspectors apprehended an individual in Qaisar District on charges of producing alcohol. The suspect was arrested in possession of 10 liters of fermented raisins, three bottles of alcohol, and other intoxicating substances. The individual has been referred to the relevant judicial and legal authorities for further investigation.

According to provincial officials, the aforementioned individual was detained for substances alcohol along with a quantity of narcotic substances. They further emphasized that no one will be permitted to engage in activities that are contrary to Islamic principles or in violation of the law.        It is worth noting that, in a previous operation, provincial inspectors from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints also detained three individuals, including two female practitioners of sorcery, in Bala Buluk District of Farah Province. They were arrested on charges of producing alcohol and were found in possession of four bottles of alcohol, one kilogram of hashish, and 15 packets of narcotic pills. The suspects were likewise referred to the relevant judicial and legal authorities for further investigation.
