In seven provinces of the country, 35 women were rescued from various forms of abuses
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Paktika, Zabul, Takhar, Baghlan, Faryab, Nangarhar, and Khost have provided 35 women with their Sh/ar/ia-based rights and prevented harmful practices against them.
These women had been facing problems due to harmful traditional customs and had been deprived of their legitimate Is/la/mic rights.
According to the inspectors (Muhtasibs), the women had been suffering from domestic violence, denial of financial support (nafaqah), psychological and physical abuse, and similar mistreatment.
