Prevention of the sale of seven tons of expired food products in Nimruz Province

Officials (Muhtasibs) from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in Nimroz Province collected seven tons of low-quality and expired food products from the markets of the province as part of efforts to control prices, prevent fraud, hoarding, and the sale of substandard and expired goods. 
After being transferred to a suitable location, the items were safely destroyed in the presence of a committee composed of representatives from relevant departments.  Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in the province stated that the confiscated materials included various food items and other consumer products whose expiration dates had passed, and their use could have posed serious risks to public health.
According to them, these efforts were carried out to protect public health, prevent deception of the people, and ensure the availability of safe and standard-quality food products for citizens.
Meanwhile, inspectors from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints in Nangarhar Province also sealed nine shops for selling low-quality raw materials, overpricing, and cheating in weights and measures.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in both provinces emphasized that selling spoiled and low-quality food products is against Is/la/mic principles and values, noting that Is/lam strongly stresses honesty, trustworthiness, and the protection of people’s rights in commercial transactions
