Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in cooperation with religious scholars and tribal elders, brought an end to a four-month-long feud between two tribes in Chehlgazi District of Faryab Province.
The effort was aimed at promoting peace, reconciliation, strengthening Islamic brotherhood, and preventing the escalation of hostilities.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the ministry in Chehlgazi District said that about four months ago, following a criminal incident, a member of one of the parties was killed.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested in connection with the incident. Following the incident, tensions and hostility arose between the two sides, creating the potential for the dispute to escalate further.
After becoming aware of the situation, the Muhtasibs took the necessary steps and, through advice and reminders of the teachings and rulings of Islam concerning forgiveness, reconciliation, and Islamic brotherhood, helped create an opportunity for understanding between the two sides.
As a result, both parties, recognizing their religious and social responsibilities, agreed to put their past differences behind them.
By forgiving one another and embracing each other, they ended their four-month-long feud.
The two sides also pledged to set aside their past hostilities and continue their lives in the spirit of Islamic brotherhood, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue in Faryab Province said that reconciliation, the promotion of peace, and strengthening Islamic brotherhood are among their important responsibilities, and that they will continue their efforts in this regard in cooperation with religious scholars and tribal elders.
