27 women were rescued from domestic violence in the provinces of Ghazni, Nimroz, Takhar, Balkh, Sar-e Pol, and Faryab
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Balkh, Ghazni, Nimruz, Takhar, Sar-e Pol, and Faryab granted 27 women their rights and prevented abuses against them.
These women had been facing problems due to harmful traditional practices and had been deprived of there is/la/mic legal rights. According to the inspectors, the women had been subjected to domestic violence, denial of financial support (Nafaqah), psychological and physical abuse, and other harmful incidents, but were rescued through the efforts of the inspectors (Muhtasibs).
The inspectors added that they are fully committed to ensuring women receive there is/la/mic legal rights and will not allow anyone to violate those rights.
It is worth mentioning that the inspectors of the ministry have handled thousands of different cases across the country related to women’s rights, including cases involving inheritance, domestic violence, bride price, giving women in settlement disputes (Baad), and un-Is/la/mic marriages.
