Summary of the Activities of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints During One Week

The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, within the framework of implementing Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia and in cooperation with various segments of society, has carried out extensive and effective activities aimed at strengthening religious values, maintaining social order, promoting virtuous conduct, and preventing wrongdoing.
Addressing Women's Sharia-Based Rights

During the past week, personnel of the Ministry handled 204 cases related to the Sh/ar/ia-based rights of women. Among these, they prevented 99 cases of injustice against women, reviewed 37 inheritance-related cases, prevented 20 forced marriages, facilitated the return of dowries in 16 cases, addressed 13 maintenance cases, facilitated 11 lawful marriages, and processed 8 divorce-related cases. 
Resolution of Disputes and Conflicts

With the cooperation of religious scholars and community elders, the Ministry's inspectors successfully resolved 28 cases of enmity and 102 major and minor disputes among tribes and families in Kabul and several provinces of the country, in accordance with Is/la/mic principles.
Arrest of Individuals Accused of Sorcery

As part of efforts to safeguard Is/la/mic values and prevent practices considered contrary to Sh/ar/ia, 18 individuals accused of sorcery were arrested during the week in the provinces of Balkh, Logar, Kabul, Sar-e Pol, Ghor, Zabul, Takhar, Daikundi, and Farah. Following preliminary investigations, the accused were referred to the relevant judicial and legal authorities for further Sh/ar/ia-compliant proceedings.

Economic Coordination Meetings

To prevent hoarding, fraud in weights and measures, and to ensure compliance with Sh/ar/ia principles in commercial transactions, 235 reform and coordination meetings were held with traders and business owners across various provinces.
In addition, nearly nine tons of low-quality and expired food products were collected from markets and destroyed.
Public Meetings and Awareness Programs

As part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to promote virtue, prevent vice, and combat harmful customs and traditions, 637 awareness and reform meetings were conducted across the country during the week. These gatherings were attended by religious scholars, tribal elders, youth, and other members of society.
