Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Faryab, Takhar, Nangarhar, Sar-e Pol, Farah, and Zabul, acting upon reports received from the public, identified 20 women who had been subjected to domestic violence for many years and placed them under Sh/ar/ia-based protection.
These women, who had been deprived of there is/la/mic legal rights as a result of prolonged domestic abuse, were rescued from violent circumstances through the efforts of the ministry's personnel, and their lawful rights were restored.
Furthermore, the ministry's personnel (Muhtasibs) in the aforementioned provinces summoned the husbands and relatives of these women to the provincial offices of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
After conducting a comprehensive review of the cases and providing religious guidance and advice regarding the observance of women's Is/la/mic rights, they obtained written commitments from them to refrain in the future from any behavior contrary to Is/la/mic teachings or any form of violence against their wives and daughters.
