Two tribes in Paghman District of Kabul Province reconciled after 14 years of hostility and conflict

In line with strengthening Is/la/mic unity, ensuring social peace, and bringing an end to long-standing disputes and hostilities, a 14-year feud between two families in Paghman District of Kabul Province was successfully resolved through reconciliation efforts led by personnel of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in cooperation with religious scholars, community elders, and local officials.

Officials (Muhtasibs)  of the Ministry in Paghman District stated that the conflict began following a bloody incident approximately 14 years ago, in which four people lost their lives and several others were injured.

The tragedy caused years of grief, suffering, and separation between the two families. However, through the mediation of the ministry’s representatives, an atmosphere of understanding, forgiveness, and brotherhood eventually replaced resentment and hostility, bringing the dispute to a peaceful conclusion.

Religious scholars attending the gathering described peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation as among the highest values in Is/l,am.

They emphasized that resolving disputes and ending enmities not only earns divine pleasure but also contributes to lasting security, social stability, and the strengthening of Is/la/mic brotherhood within society.

They further noted that forgiveness and mercy are among the most beautiful manifestations of faith and can heal long-standing wounds.

At the conclusion of the event, elders from both families expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry’s personnel in establishing peace and reconciliation.

They pledged to put aside all past grievances and incidents and to begin a new chapter of life based on brotherhood, mutual respect, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence.
