Officials of the Ministry Hold Reform Meetings with Traders and Shopkeepers in Six Provinces
As part of their ongoing daily activities and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry, officials (Muhtasibs) held reform-oriented meetings with traders and shopkeepers in Takhar, Balkh, Parwan, Nimroz, Ghor, and Paktika provinces.
The meetings aimed to establish a sound economic system, regulate market prices, eliminate expired products, prevent usury and hoarding, curb fraud involving weighing scales, and ensure that quality products are made available in the market.
During these meetings, officials emphasized the importance of observing divine instructions in daily commercial activities and refraining from all prohibited practices, including usury, hoarding, and short-changing customers through inaccurate weighing.
It is worth noting that, since the beginning of their activities in this area, officials (Muhtasibs) have destroyed thousands of tons of expired and substandard food and non-food products across the country.
These efforts have brought about significant improvements in preventing practices in markets that are contrary to Islamic law.
