The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints visited Kunar Province to monitor the implementation of Sharia-based decrees, ensure enforcement of the Law on the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, strengthen the religious and spiritual morale of military personnel, and emphasize compliance with their Sharia and administrative responsibilities.

The delegation, comprising members of the Ministry’s Military Board, met with provincial officials, deputies, heads of government departments, personnel of the Provincial Police Command, and Mujahideen, and held separate meetings with them during the visit.

During these meetings, the delegation members emphasized the implementation of the decrees of the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him), adherence to the rulings of Islamic Sharia, proper enforcement of the Law on the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, and the strengthening of religious values within government departments and military units.

The delegation also highlighted the Sharia-based and Islamic responsibilities of military personnel, stressing the importance of strengthening faith and spirituality, purifying the soul, observing Islamic ethics, obeying Sharia-based directives, preventing vice, and countering intellectual and ideological aggression.

In another part of the meetings, the delegation provided necessary guidance to officials, personnel, and Mujahideen, urging them to regard respectful treatment of the public and visitors, justice and fairness, the prevention of tribalism and discrimination, the promotion of Islamic brotherhood and cooperation, and the protection of public funds (Bayt al-Mal) as important Sharia and administrative responsibilities, and to give them serious attention while carrying out their assigned duties.

As part of its continued visit, the Ministry’s military delegation also visited the relevant departments of the Ministry of Defense and the provincial Directorate of Intelligence in Kunar. Officials and personnel of these departments were advised to ensure better implementation of promulgated laws, adhere to Islamic Sharia, improve moral conduct, purify the soul, and prevent vice.
