Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, reported that, following the review of complaints and what they described as reform efforts, 17 women were protected from domestic abuse and family violence in the provinces of Zabul, Balkh, Takhar, Baghlan, Farah, and Nuristan.

According to the statement, these efforts were carried out in accordance with Islamic law after the affected women submitted complaints to the ministry's provincial offices.

The process included hearing statements from both parties, providing guidance, counseling, and information regarding the rights that Islamic law grants to women.

As a result, the ministry stated that further abuse and violence against the women were prevented, and a number of family disputes were resolved through reconciliation and mutual understanding.

Provincial officials (Muhtasibs) of the ministry said that addressing public complaints, preventing injustice, promoting what they consider virtue, preventing vice, safeguarding citizens' lawful rights, and mediating disputes among people are among their religious and legal responsibilities.

They emphasized that these efforts will continue with the aim of promoting justice, strengthening the family institution, and preserving Islamic values.
