The Sharia rights of 30 women regarding inheritance, alimony, and dowry were secured in six provinces
As a result of the efforts of officials of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, the Sharia-based rights of 30 women in matters of inheritance, maintenance, and dowry were secured in the provinces of Takhar, Badakhshan, Ghazni, Parwan, Balkh, and Sar-e Pul.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue in these six provinces said that the cases were addressed after the affected women submitted and registered their complaints.
The cases were handled in accordance with Islamic Sharia and through separate meetings with the parties involved.
As a result, all of the affected women obtained their Sharia-based rights regarding inheritance, maintenance, and dowry.
During these meetings, ministry officials (Muhtasibeen) emphasized the observance of the rights that Islamic Sharia grants to women.
They stated that inheritance, maintenance, and dowry are among the financial rights that Islam has established for women, and that fulfilling these rights is a religious responsibility for everyone.
They further emphasized that women's financial rights should not be disregarded and that men are obliged to observe Islamic Sharia in their transactions and family relationships and to refrain from violating the rights of others, particularly women. They stated that observing divine rulings and fulfilling the Sharia-based rights of others is obligatory and constitutes a religious responsibility for every Muslim.
